“I was born in California where it looks beautiful until you’re broke. Growing up, I learned that life wasn’t always gonna be easy just from watching my parents struggle. I was always trying to find a way out of the bullshit.

Since birth, music was my best friend. I grew up to all genres of music and even made my own songs as a little kid. But music wasn’t just there during the good, it was there through the bad. It was never gonna leave me when others did.

During high school, I really started listening to Disclosure, Kerri Chandler, Kaytranada, and any other DJ who had a incredible set on the Boiler Room. I learned more and more about the lifestyle of a DJ and the work that goes into being the best. I wanted to be right next to them doing a set and could never get that image out my head.

I was so stressed and felt like my Dad’s death was one of the worst wake up calls ever. I knew that he was watching over me and wanted me to be great. Both my parents do. But now, I feel I really want to be great just for my Dad to look down and smile so bright. All my successes are because of my mum and dad. This is for you.”
